With whatever I have with me, from my Sony Alpha 6000 to whatever phone I currently use, if I see something I like, I grab a shot. Over time, I like to think my editing skills have improved, but I still have many unedited photos, straight from my phone, that I quite like.

McNab’s Island is only accessible by boat, home to the ruins of both Fort Ives and Fort McNab, as well as many more stunning features. An interpretive tour by the friends of McNab’s Island is highly recommended.

Being an early bird, and pre-pandemic at least working every day from offices on the Bedford waterfront, I got to see and capture many stunning sunrises. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Here you’ll see an assortment of photos from different parts of the province at different times, highlighting both the gorgeous scenery, but also the fantastic experiences. Like Memory Lane Heritage Village and George’s Island National Historic Site.
Peggy’s Cove is a popular tourist destination just a short distance from Halifax, NS. The iconic lighthouse and amazing raw granite are a photographer’s dream, but to this day it is also an active fishing village, as evidenced by the numerous fishing boats and sheds.

Grew up and spent the first half of my life on Random Island, Newfoundland. Accessible via causeway since the 1950’s, Random Island is the 2nd biggest island off the coast of Newfoundland, an island itself. You can read some of my memories of growing up and older there on my Random Island blog.
Photos were taken on my first trip home in many years in September 2018.
Flowers, especially when they are dappled with rain or dew are a favourite of me and my lens. I can capture many just from my tiny lawn. You don’t always notice what’s right next to you. Try to look close to home next time you wander out your door.
